As part of our Girl EXPO and Volunteer Conference-A New Chapter in Girl Scouting, we invite our volunteers to join us during this exciting virtual session through Zoom. Participants will learn coping mechanisms to help deal with the pandemic, while also learning how to help others including children and young adults using service and volunteerism.

Amanda Guinn is a school counselor and certified career development specialist at Belleville District #201.  She holds a Master’s degree in Counseling.  She has spent 15 years in the field of volunteerism having served as an AmeriCorps member, and eventually director of the Belleville AmeriCorps program.  She recently completed two terms on the Governor appointed commission on volunteerism and community service in Illinois.  She was awarded the Illinois AmeriCorps Alum state leadership award. Her passion is connecting others to their purpose.  She serves as an Elder at First United Presbyterian Church in Belleville as a member of the Mission committee. She is a wife and has been married to John for 23 years and has 3 children.

Cancellation Policy
Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois (GSofSI) reserves the right to cancel an event due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable. If GSofSI cancels an event, registrants will be notified and offered a full refund. Should circumstances arise that result in the postponement of an event, GSofSI has the right to either issue a full refund or transfer registration to the same event at the new, future date. Registration Cancellation by Participant: Unless specifically stated on registration materials, the deadline to receive a refund for an event is the same day as the registration deadline. Cancellations will be accepted in writing only and must be received by the stated cancellation deadline. Cancellations received after the stated deadline will not be eligible for a refund. Refunds will not be available for registrants who choose not to attend an event. All refund requests must be made by the attendee or credit card holder. All refunds will be made by the same method of payment (credit card or check). Cash will be refunded via check. Refund requests must include the name of the attendee and/or receipt. These above policies apply to all GSofSI Events unless otherwise noted in the corresponding event materials. Please read all individual event information thoroughly. Unless otherwise stated tag-a-longs are not permitted at GSofSI events.
