Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois invites you to explore the wonderful outdoors and increase your outdoor awareness through our O.W.L. and Owlete Weekend at Camp Butterfly in Farmington, MO.  We are excited to once again host an opportunity for our adult volunteers and older girls to spend a weekend focused on sharpening necessary skills to best prepare you for overnight camping, outdoor adventures and outings!

All adult members are encouraged to attend and we proudly extend our invitation to Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors.  Girls must be 16 years old for the certificate to be valid for our water-based training.  Additionally, these training's are designed for Girl Scouts who have taken or will soon take their PA, LIA, CIT I or CIT II. 

The registration is now open and available until May 28, 2019.  Come spend the entire weekend with our volunteer facilitators and staff or sign up for a single day.  If you have any questions feel free to contact Customer Care at customercare@gsofsi.org or 1-800-345-6858.


Please note: Registration and sleeping placements for overnight guests will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis.  In order to best serve our participants, each session will have limited number of participants.  All sessions are subject to cancellation if the participation minimums or our needs for volunteer facilitators were not met. 

Overnight guests: All cabins have electricity and a refrigerator available for food storage.

Cancellation Policy
GSofSI reserves the right to cancel an event due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable. If GSofSI cancels an event, registrants will be notified and offered a full refund. Should circumstances arise that result in the postponement of an event, GSofSI has the right to either issue a full refund or transfer registration to the same event at the new, future date. Registration Cancellation by Participant: Unless specifically stated on registration materials, the deadline to receive a refund for an event is the same day as the registration deadline. Cancellations will be accepted in writing only and must be received by the stated cancellation deadline. Cancellations received after the stated deadline will not be eligible for a refund. Refunds will not be available for registrants who choose not to attend an event. All refund requests must be made by the attendee or credit card holder. All refunds will be made by the same method of payment (credit card or check). Cash will be refunded via check. Refund requests must include the name of the attendee and/or receipt. These above policies apply to all GSofSI Events unless otherwise noted in the corresponding event materials. Please read all individual event information thoroughly.
